The National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada Hosted their 2nd Professional Development Conference and Training Seminar 2013 in Journalism on December 6 to 8, 2013 |
The event took place at Seneca College in Toronto.
To this unique professional learning and skills development offering and opportunity, the NEPMCC wishes to thank the Government of Canada through the Canadian Periodical Fund of the department of Canadian Heritage for their belief in and financial support of this project.
The goal during this training seminars was,to learn new professional skills, to leverage compatibility advantage by creating uncontested market space, to truly be Canada's dominant press and media freedom advocacy voice that resonates locally,nationally and world- wide in the definition of democracy.Participants took the opportunity,to learn new ways to create and define their goals and they had the opportunity to affirm and shape their professional competence,viability and competitive capability and capacity.
The main speakers at the Gala dinner were, Chris Alexander, Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, the mayor of Markham Ontario Mr. Frank Scarpitti,and Jim Karygiannis, Liberal MP.
