Μετά τις καλοκαιρινές διακοπές ανάπααυλας και σχετικής ξεκούρασης, ήρθε νομίζουμε η ώρα να επιστρέψουμε στα ...καθήκοντά μας, για την ό,ποια δυνατή των λίγων, έστω, επισκεπτών μας που παρέμειναν πιστοί, ενημέρωση... Θα πουν κάποιοι, μα μέσα στον Αύγουστο που όλη η Ελλά πάει διακοπές, βρήκατε ευκαιρία να αρχίσετε τη ...δουλειά; Βεβαίων και ΝΑΙ, αφού οι συνεργάτες μας είναι εργατικά παιδιά και δεν μπορούν να απέχουν για πολύ από τα καθήκοντά τους... Τι να κάνουμε; Ξεκινάμε, λοιπόν, σήμερα, παραμονή της 1ης Αυγούστου, με ένα από τα σοβαρότερα, κατά την εκτίμησή μας θέματα που είναι η μετάθεση του ιερέα της εκκλησίας του Προφήτου Ηλιού (Μισσισσάγκα) Δράκου και η εκεί τοποθέτηση του, της ενορίας Αγ. Κωνσταντίνου και Ελλένης, Θ. Παρασκευόπουλου...
Το θέμα είναι οι συνεχείς παρενοχλήσεις που γίνονται από τους εκεί ενορίτες και ίσως όχι μόνο.! Το όχι μόνο, κολάει στο ότι ο Σωτήριος είχε ...τάξει τον π. Δράκο στον Αϊγιάννη, της πάλαι ποτέ Κοινότητας, η οποία ΔΕΝ έγινε, διότι ο Σωτήρης το έχει ως αμαρτία να τηρεί τις υποσχέσεις του, φοβούμενος μη και χάσει τον ...παράδεισο. ( Ο Σωτήριος όταν ακούει Παράδεισο, το μυαλό του πάει στις παράδες, για τις οποίες και μόνον ζει.!!! Αλλά αυτά μια άλλη φορά, τώρα διαβάστε το άρθρο του συνεργάτη μας και ...ματαξαναβλέπουμε.:
Another Archbishop Sotirios mistake has left Prophet Elias Church in
chaos and Sotirios possibly with a stroke.
The phones at the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Canada have not stopped ringing
since Archbishop Sotirios transferred top priest Fr Theo Drakos from Prophet
Elias with controversial priest Fr Ted Paraskevopoulos from Sts Constantine
& Helen. Every call the Archdiocese receives is communicated to Sotirios so
he can gauge public opinion. Let me save you some time, Your Eminence, no one
is happy with your last game of musical chairs with those priests.
Why are people still calling, you ask? Well in June Fr. Ted announced to the
parish during Liturgy that when 16 and 17-year-olds leave the church they go to
the dark side and “become gay.” Yep, you read that correctly, “become gay.”
There were memorial services that day and there were a few young people sitting
in the front pews who we know are gay. I wonder if we’ll ever see those young
kids again in church? No idea why the attendance at PE keeps on declining since
the transfers? It couldn’t possibly be because of the arrogant asshole priest.
Here’s a fun fact, Fr. Ted stores his dojo mats (large fighting mats) at
the Church. As if it’s some free rental place or his own home. And he asked the
parish council if he could take one of the rooms in the Church as his fighting
room (dojo room) to set up his mats and equipment. These people are much
smarter than the dummies over at Sts. C&H, because they flat-out said no.
Fr Ted, take your shit to your apartment—our church is not a free storage
facility for you.
While there’s so much more to write about the chaos, what’s been reported to
the Ecumenical Patriarchate by Bishop Athenagoras of Pataron is that during the
Vespers service of Prophet Elias’ feast day it appeared that Sotirios had a
minor stroke or has Alzheimers or some form of cognitive degenerative disorder
because mid-prayer he just froze. He couldn’t speak, he wasn’t moving, it was
just silence in the church. The Bishop and others were trying to help him
continue the prayer but he couldn’t and eventually just said Amen. Since that
incident, Sotirios has cancelled all him public appearances and is sending
Bishop Pataron instead. The only church you will see him at is for his Nameday
at Metamorphosis.
The Ecumenical Patriarchate is trying to find out the severity of
Sotirios’ physical health and has been contacting people in Toronto/GTA. The
Patriarch has requested that he go to the Patriarchate for a meeting. And
mid-August the Patriarch has asked him to spend a few days with him in his
village of Imbvros in Greece. From what the Patriarch’s minions have been
saying to some of us in Canada, is that Bartholomew will be informing him that
after the end of this year he is to submit his resignation letter to him.
There’s more to this story but that’s all for now.
Finally someone reported that lunacy that Fr Ted said from the pulpit. I’d love to see actual evidence that kids turn gay at around 16 years old if they leave the church. It’s fear mongering. It’s not how you get parents to bring their kids to church out of fear they might become gay if they don’t go to church on Sunday. What about people of all ages who go to church and are gay? How’s that happen then? Fck’ed up logic according to fr Ted. That’s like saying if you stay close to the church you will not commit adultery—I’d be curious to know what Fr Ted has to say about those who are clergy, cough cough.

DeleteSomeone being gay is not a sin, it’s the sexual acts outside of traditional church marriage that the church views as a sin. So when a heterosexual priest as Fr. Ted has sexual thoughts of women who are not his wife that’s a sin (THOUGHTS). When he tells women who are not his wife that he wants them that’s a sin (WORDS). And when he has sex with women who are not his wife that’s a sin (DEEDS). But by his logic since he’s supposedly close to the church being a priest and all then how is it that he’s doing the same thing he said youth do when they leave the church and go to the dark side? Since ALL sin is categorized as Thoughts, Words, Deeds.
And the irony is that when a priest’s (who left during the pandemic) gay brother would go to Prophet Elias and receive Communion from Fr Theo, Fr Ted in his usual fashion criticized Fr Theo, even though it’s only the Bishop (Sotirios) who can direct a priest as to what he can and cannot do with the sacraments. But Fr Ted is somehow still receiving Communion. So if you’re a priest committing heterosexual adultery you can receive communion but if you’re a gay layperson you can’t—fr Ted logic 101.
Our churches are empty because of bishops like Sotirios and priests like Ted. They hide behind their vestments while judging everyone else except themselves.
The hypocrisy in the church is disgusting. And it’s why the churches continue to empty. At this rate there will be no one left in the churches who don’t wear vestments and that’s because of those that do.
Can Sotirios leave already so we can start rebuilding the decades of disaster he caused.

ReplyDeleteI don’t know about Montreal but in Ontario Bish Salmas has taken over his scheduled church visits (except obviously for his Nameday on metamorphosis).
DeleteI forgot how Sotirios played GCT President Skoutakis promising her Fr Theo for St John’s. But my question is why is she on good terms with him again? How many times is she going to let Sotirios play her?

6:06: Agreed Sotirios does that with pleasure. But some priests like Fr Ted would do it even if Sotirios wasn’t Archbishop. That’s why it’s a blessing for the church that Bishop Iakovos is gone for good because now there’s no leader to that small group of degenerate priests. And now he has no Metropolis or Archdiocese that he’s part of. Hopefully someone will send fr Ted to oblivion too, I suspect the next Archbishop will when he goes through the HR files.
DeleteYa I have no doubt either Fr Ted is gone when the next guy comes in. Oddly enough Sotirios said it himself: this is not the beginning but the end of Paraskevopoulos (Fr Ted).
DeleteSotirios’ desire to attack Fr Theo and his father superseded what was best for Prophet Elias. It’s never been emptier since the transfers. And at the end Sotirios still won’t get his $40,000 either which fr Ted said would be easy to get him if he gives him Prophet Elias.

ReplyDeleteThey’re in a locked room except people know where the key is—secretary of the year award—and they are there. Sotirios collects everything, even print out of text messages priests send to Bishop Athenagoras. Everything is documented. Even printed photos off of social media. It’s the only thorough thing the Archdiocese does.
