Couldn't have said it better. Humility doesn't exist amongst the hierarchs and many priests. And Sotirios loves chaos just like his protege bishop iakovos and his cabal.
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for the next Archbishop who will be sent in to try and clean up this decades-old shitshow. Like Elpidophoros being sent in to clean up decades of financial scandals, huge payouts to protect clergy from their victims, no work being done, turf wars, the gay mafia, etc. etc. It's not fun at all. It's a nightmare. Who wants to walk around with a bullseye on their back every day for trying to clean up the church? Those guys need a hardcore #2 who is willing to kick the shit out of people (figuratively) because you also can't have an asshole leader like we have. It's one of the worst jobs in the world if you want to do it right. It's one of the best jobs in the world if you want to destroy the church.
Yes. The next Archbishop will face a lot of issues .Will also be very difficult for him If priests are divided for different reasons. He has to deal with this issue.as well.

Priests must be trained to provide spiritual inspiration and guidance , to work together and deal with people sensitively and to learn humility and forgiveness..
Unfortunately some of them do not have a team approach and tend to be arrogant, believing they know much more than they do and have a big idea about the

DeleteI gotta say most of Sotirios’ comments to and about priests are legit rude but in number of cases they’re also legit true. Certain priests he’s called Άχρηστη I would have to sadly agree with him on. A number of these priests if they had jobs outside the church they’d be unemployed because of their attitudes, incompetence, lack of work etc. and of course let’s not forget the illegal and unethical behaviour.
So while I agree Sotirios is overly blunt and likes to cause chaos, he also has a bunch of useless priests that the next Archbishop will have to sort out. No sane leader would keep all of those priests. What priests here don’t seem to realize is that senior people are monitoring what they’re doing from and for the Patriarchate and all that intel will be given to the next Archbishop to clean up. Even Sotirios tells the Patriarchate damaging things like what Bishop Iakovos, Archon Evangelos, Priests fanourios, ted, economou, Merkel did to him during the pandemic to try to take him out. Sotirios has already destroyed them, they just don’t know yet. Sotirios is a SOB but he’s a really smart SOB. He’s left his successor to take out the garbage instead of him having to do. That guy is always 10 steps ahead. If only he used his powers for good.
Most priests are not properly trained. And it’s a vicious cycle because the bad clergy teach the future clergy like Bish Iakovos, Fr Ted….. The only good professor that I can think of right now at PTOTA is Fr Theo. The students seem to really like his approach.
ReplyDeleteThat's true. The students of PTOTA must be trained when they become priests to be humble, have compassion and be forgiving people.
DeleteWe can not have priests with an attitude. We can not have priests chasing money and positions. Priests must support each other without talking against each other.
PTOTA needs to be prepared for some changes if Sotirios wants priests with spiritual balance.
Unless Sotirios wants the Academy to get more money
Nothing will change in the church until we get a new Archbishop. That includes PTOTA too. Sotirios isn’t going to change his ways after decades. It’s a non-starter. Sotirios is focused on accumulating more wealth and all of the CRA (Canadian revenue agency) investigations going on for the archdiocese, st nicks, Philoptochos and the monastery in Montreal.

Το πρόβλημα η μάλλον τα προβλήματα υπάρχουν διότι οι ιερείς εδώ στον Καναδά είναι πνευματικά ακατηχητη. Το ίδιο ισχύ γι αυτούς που πιστεύουν η εκκλησιάζονται . Οι ακατηχητη ιερείς δεν μπορούν να κατηχήσουν τους πιστούς σωστά και έτσι οι πιστοί δεν μπορούν να κρατήσουν σε ελέγχω τους ποιμένες τους, δηλαδή τους παπάδες και δεσποτάδες. Να θυμηθούμε οτι εκκλησία είναι και κλήρος και λαός. Είναι ένας φαύλος κύκλος, ο οποίος είναι στημένος για να εκμεταλλεύονται τον κόσμο μερικοί για τους συνηθισμένους και αυτονόητους λόγους. Έλεγε ένας ακουστός ιεράρχης απαντώντας σε ερώτημα μιας κυρίας σε συγκέντρωση του, ότι εμείς στον Καναδά είμαστε πνευματικά ορφανοί!

ReplyDeleteΑμέσως μόλις χειροτονηθούν είναι έτοιμοι να κυτάξουν να αγοράσουν σπίτια.και να έχουν καλή ενορία και άλλα πολλά Αλλο η μόρφωση και άλλο η πνευματική ζωή.
Κάνουν κηρύγματα και δίνουν συμβουλές σε μας τους λαικούς, και δεν κυττάνε τα δικά τους.
Αλλοι είναι εναντίον του Σωτηρίου καί άλλοι συνέχεια μαζί του. Για παράδειγμα¨.
Ολοι ξέρανε ότι ο παπάς στον Αγ. Γιώργη ήταν ενάντια στο Σωτήριο παλαιότερα, τώρα είναι πιστός ακόλουθος και συνέχεια φωνάζει.
Αλλος, μαθητής που είχε τελειώσει την ιερατική Σχολή και εψελνε είχε κακή συμπεριφορά.

Πνευματική ζωή πού λές 7.46 δεν νομίζω να υπάρχει. Ισως να υπαρχουν κάποιοι που δεν φαίνονται. Ο θεός γνωρίζει καλιτερα.
