On March 25, 2021 The Archdiocese received from the Province of Ontario $350,000 to build a " Greek Canadian Heritage Museum in Toronto in fact in the Archdiocease ". Some say that money talks and bullshit walks. I will leave it to the readers to decide who or what walked. If our Archdiocese had done their homework they would have found numerous independent scientific articles that showed the use of a common spoon is highly unlikely to spread any virus. With these facts they could have gone to the Province and city to leave the common spoon " Lavida" communion alone. Our Archdiocese did nothing of the sort. OTHER courageous church leaders unsuccessfully took the province to court to challenge under our charter of rights the Covid-19 restrictions. I didn't see our church participate as an intervenor. There are rumors that a naïve Bishop and certain priests thought they could have our brutal Archbishop replaced under their terms. They failed and got what they had coming to them. You may say the GCT did too but lets leave that for another day. Nikona Georgakopoulos
Sotirios is full of shit. Governments can’t legally disclose information that would identify who someone was that reported an incident. That’s why all those Freedom Of Information applications that the fanatics and the Archdiocese filed with government got them nothing. If Sotirios said you did it, he would have no way of knowing and is just lying, no shocker there. Also the Coptic churches had multiple cups, the Ukrainian Churches had multiple spoons, other churches complied once reported and some did so willingly. It was the Russians who did whatever they wanted which is how they govern themselves, just look at the war in Ukraine. Also the Russians weren’t reporting on themselves so they didn’t have officers showing up to their churches every week. Sotirios followed the instructions from the Patriarchal Synod which said to obey the laws of the land when it came to communion and if there was none they weren’t authorized to amend how communion is dispensed. Frankly that Patriarchal Synod statement was pushed by Metropolitan Demetrios and his fellow boyzzzz (say it with a slip) at the Patriarchate since he wants to be the next Patriarch and wanted to cause problems for Archbishop Elpidophoros. No one gives a shit about Canada. If they did they wouldn’t have left a pedo here for decades. It was an “economia,” economies are done all the time in the church, it’s a piece of metal vs. a bunch of pieces of metal. BOTH of those are economies to begin with. Christ isn’t a spoon. And he didn’t use a spoon. There’s zero mention of a “holy spoon” in the Bible. And Christ didn’t mix the wine and bread like we do by making it into soup out of laziness. People want to be hardcore about communion, then fight to have holy communion changed to the way CHRIST gave it. At the end of the day what matters is what’s INSIDE the cup. Maybe people might want to focus on if they’re prepared to receive communion instead of trying to dictate to Archbishops how they want to receive it. When no one is worthy to receive it to begin with. I can’t believe people are still talking about this. The church is on fire, we have a pedo running it, no one has ever seen the finances, priests are leaving, the Archdiocese does nothing for spirituality except hoard money and people are still talking about which cutlery to use? People went and made stupid signs for their bullshit 20 person protest over a spoon. Can this church get any dumber?
ReplyDelete7:02 pm there was correspondence between the chief medical officers of Toronto and Ontario that was authored by Nikona on behalf of the GCT when a city inspector caught Pavlidis giving communion with a single spoon.
DeleteBishop Ath (Salmas) sent a bullshit letter ( on the orders of Sotirios) to all his priests to give people options in contravention of the law and he further advised them to keep the letter out of the media blogs etc,. The GCT ( Nikonass) shared this with all the medical authorities asking for clarification. After skirting the issue and numerous calls to the Archdiocese they all came back and said clearly everybody had to follow the restrictions.
apparently not as dumb as you 7:02.
Delete10:25 oh ya that email that the Archdiocese sent to the priests etc without redacting the emails because they can barely tie their shoes. That was on behalf of GCT. That still doesn't mean Nikona reported all of the churches and monastery in Ontario. So many non-gct churches were reported many times including the monastery. No one can say it was him. That's just typical “Sotirios logic”. Even priests were reporting other churches because there were text messages between priests (Iakovos’ cabal) that were sent around. Ted would complain to Salmas all the time like a little bitch about his church being reported by the GCT (zero proof of it too!!!!) but then bragged in a text to the other bishop Iakovos cabal cult members how he reported x and x and x church. They tried to cause chaos and get churches fined to escalate the spoon issue in the Greek newspapers. Ya because a priest or parish council going rogue and not imposing the distance rules would somehow mean the Patriarch will take out an Archbishop? Those guys are the dumbest clergy I've ever seen. It's hard to tell who's dumber than whom. Combined IQ of stupid.
Delete2:51 pm you must one of Sotirios’ boy toyssss. Don’t forget to wear a condom, I hear he has aids.
DeleteI’d love to see those “scientific studies.” I bet there isn’t a single controlled study in any of them. I’d love to see how fast scientists in government would throw those “scientific studies” out. The church that has the most influence and closest relationship with government is the Catholic church and they didn’t go to the government to whine, they issued a *public* professional document of exactly what they were going to do. Not these secret letters the Archdiocese was sending out saying don’t share. And when the Catholics wanted to open the churches for Easter the province allowed all the churches to open with a capacity but when the Greek Orthodox Church had their Easter the province told Sotirios, too bad so sad and shut them down. That’s what happens when you piss off politicians who are busy with real problems like dealing with the first global pandemic of their lives.
ReplyDeleteIs a sample of 600 people 1/2 of which had a known virus and the other half which did not sufficient for you? Google it.
DeleteI'm quite sure Nikonas' main thesis is our church was indifferent and in no way wanted to take on the government for all these stupid restrictions. None of these non-believers would ever follow what they are told to preach. The Mega- ath people just went somewhere else to the Serbians that were accommodating them on River street and in Whitby
DeleteSotirios fight for what is right? Heck no. If there is money in it for him he runs like a bitch in heat. The Greek Orthodox religion in Canada is making itself irrelevant.
DeletePreach!
Delete10:35 PM take on the government? It was a global pandemic. No one gives a shit what 70 churches amidst 39 million people in Canada think. The overwhelming majority of places of worship abided by the rules (including non-Christian faiths). And those that didn’t (Russians/Serbs) weren’t being reported on by their own faithful, that only happened in Sotirios’ church where he loves to create division and cause chaos. It’s not about money (in this 1 instance), it was a fucking global pandemic, no one cares what 1 small church thinks amongst so many other faiths that abided, and our churches couldn’t afford to pay fines so they complied when caught. If Sotirios wasn’t such a fucking idiot we would have had our churches open for Easter like the Catholics did. And those who left the Greek Orthodox churches over a spoon is one of the stupidest things I’ve heard. People won’t leave for the real problems in the church like sexual abuse but they’ll leave over spoons. Vlakies.
Delete10:52 its because of people like you that should keep their opinions to themselves.
Delete2:52 pm Now now be nice did the truth hurt? Burying stupid practices just causes them to get worse. We looked and continue to look like idiots. Go fuck yourself.
Delete2:54 ohhh so I shouldn't say something because it's not what you believe. I bet you either supported or were part of the convo too. Ohhh poor me I live in one of the freest countries in the world. You don’t like it in Canada you can leave. Try out North Korea or Iran and then let’s talk.
Delete2:52 people like you? LMAO!
DeleteI wonder what the status of this famous museum is? According to the original press release it would be completed in 2022 a few weeks away.
ReplyDelete7:17am I have no idea but I bet it’s the one thing Sotirios will do because he’s going to make it a Sotirios museum, he openly said that. What he doesn’t know is the next Archbishop will just take his stuff and throw them in the garbage where they belong. He’s so delusional thinking people will treat him how they treat former Archbishops Iakovos and Athenagoras in the States. They weren’t pedos and assholes.
DeleteTime to call our MPP's and ask for a status update.
ReplyDelete12:53 that’s a good idea if you hear anything can you let us know?
DeleteThey have cleaned out the library in hopes of calling it the start of a museum just in case the premier comes around and asks.
Delete10:54 am LMFAO!!!!! The Archdiocese is so useless.
