But for some fun context: Fr Ted wrote that “poorly put together theological dissertation” as part of a bigger dumb strategy with Bishop Iakovos, Archon Evangelos, Merkel, Frs Fanourios and Constantinos (Markham now in Greece) and to a lesser degree “retired” bishop bartholomew who’s in Greece now. They tried to recruit other clergy and collaborated with some of the Pape Avenue Saint Athansios fanatics.
The idea to do this came a few weeks after Archbishop Elpidophoros announced multiple
spoons during the pandemic. In fact, there’s a video recording of Fr Ted on his
YouTube channel (Fr Ted Talks) where he repeated what Elpidophoros said almost
verbatim (that’s what he really thinks) and then a few weeks later there’s
another video he did where he sounds like a fanatic (that’s lying Fr Ted, his
other personality). At the same time they were trying to recruit other clergy
to join “the cause” since according to text messages from Fr Ted to priests
they were preparing for multiple spoons in Canada and he told priests that if
Sotirios tried to implement multiple spoons that he’ll get suspended without
pay before he ever did that. Well Fr Ted folded and used multiple spoons on day
one, money talks for him and well that group. Fr Ted sent his shitty
dissertation to his email list etc and then bragged in texts about how many
people he reached and how he didn’t care what Elpidophoros or Sotirios thought
(he will when his black file is publicly released one day including the videos
and photos he took of himself). Sotirios has all these messages, clergy sent
them to Bishop Athenagoras who then put them in his file. Archon Evangelos also
wrote some amateur stuff too on his “Orthodox World” blog and Twitter account
which have now both been disabled (that’s a story for another day) but
screenshots of everything were collected since he’s an Archon. Also all the
letters that the fanatics and Archon Evangelos sent to the Patriarchate by
snail mail and email were all destroyed by the English Office director, Fr
Iakovos Krochak (he recently virtually spoke with the Archons in Canada even
though he’s Ukrainian). Except copies of those letters including the one Archon
Evangelos sent *against* Sotirios were all sent to the Archdiocese (standard
protocol) and all sent to certain people from the Archdiocese who are
anti-Evangelos or anti-fanatics. And all of this was done for one goal. To
unseat Archbishop Sotirios and have Bishop Iakovos replace him mid-pandemic
when everyone was in the world was in a state of chaos. I really didn’t get the
strategy since Patriarch Bartholomew would obviously find out because so many
people were involved and there were so many things put in writing. And he
despises when clergy try to do end-runs on senior hierarchs. Look what happened
to Metropolitans Evangelos and Methodios is America. I can’t believe that from
that entire group no one had the brain to say, we probably can’t win against
Sotirios, this is a dumb plan, if we get caught he’ll get us back in his own
methodical time, or what if the Patriarch finds out. Combined IQ of stupid. The
only thing I can’t figure out is why didn’t Archbishop Sotirios have bishop
Iakovos removed when the offer was given to him by the Patriarch? And why
didn’t he have Archon Evangelos removed when the offer was given to him? Is
Sotirios scared of what Bishop Iakovos, Archon Evangelos and Merkel have on
him? Are they so intertwined in Church scandals that if one or two go down it’s
like a house of cards and they all go down? At some point Sotirios will get
them back even if it’s through the next Archbishop. The funny thing is that
Iakovos is a mini-Sotirios. As his former largest financial supporter (who
dropped him when she found out some serious things about him which included
photos) said, Sotirios made Iakovos in his own image. And here I thought all

We know about the Bish Iakovos’ cabal to unseat Arch Sotirios that was over 2 years ago. That's not breaking news. The Patriarch and Patriarchate knows about it too from Sotirios and some contacts they have in Canada. There's even a recording from an Ontario Synaxis where Sotirios shit talks Iakovos for it. Next scandal.

That part about why didn't H.E. Sotirios have H.G. Iakvos and Arcon Evan removed is because in order to do that an archbishop has to write a report that goes to H.A.H Patriarch Bartholomew and the patriarchal synod for review and a vote. It would have made him look weak that he can't control his bishops and priests. It's not because they have shit on him, if they did it would have all come out when they tried to take him out 2 summers ago. I have no doubt he’ll get them back in his own way. People can say whatever they want about him but he's smarter than all of then combined.

That's 100% true and Sotirios has openly said it to many people including at one of our Ontario Synaxis meetings where he proceeded to insult Iakovos. Those 2 videos of Ted were sent to my by a faithful and that's 100% true that he flip-flopped and then started recruiting. Ted tried to recruit me too, I didn't want to be part of that shitshow so I told Salmas to protect me and my family from being implicated. And we as priests all know Orthodox World blog was Archon Evangelos but I don't know why he shut it down.

DeleteWhile that’s surprisingly accurate Andipothas I do find it interesting that Fr Peter from Pangia is not mentioned. He was part of that group until he wasn't and now he's back with Bishop Iakovos having expensive steak dinners in Toronto. What I don't know is what exactly happened during the pandemic that he flipped on that group. There was a “teamoria meeting” at the Archdiocese where they brought in the priests who were part of Bishop Iakovos's group but Fr Peter was on the Archdiocese side of that meeting by then.

While there are not many priests with Masters degrees to begin with (no one with a PhD) of the ones that do I only know of Fr Theo who doesn’t act like he’s the smartest person in the room. In the States a Masters degree is required to be a priest, in Canada we have priests with no degrees or haven’t finished their degrees. It’s like Sotirios prefers uneducated priests so he can control them easier.

Delete4:48 no one would ever pretend to be a Canadian priest in our church. And Sotirios sadly isn't a spiritual leader, which is his core responsibility. The church isn't about money, it's about Christ. He talks a big game about money but he's never disclosed the Archdiocese finances like they do in America and frankly in every other not-for-profit. Why not? It's a not-for-profit and should be disclosed at Clergy laity congress. The secrecy is an automatic red flag. Do you know how much the school has? No one does but they keep on asking for money. This is the worst-run not-for-profit I have seen. I feel really sorry for whoever gets stuck taking over. There's zero infrastructure. There's not even a single email subscription list to obtain information from the Church, how is that even possible? There's no religious programming from the Archdiocese. There’s sadly nothing. It's the spiritually poorest Church I've ever seen.

So much so that some have tried to sabotage him to have him removed, while I don't agree with what they did, it shows the severity of the problems in the church. You don't do that to a boss you respect and enjoy working with. I've sadly never seen such uniformity in the Church in Canada except for the dislike towards Sotirios.

He caused confusion but I guess that was the point. Priests need to stay in their lanes and do what they've been given the blessing to by the Bishop, instead of trying to be the Bishop.

No. Actually, the synod that gathers monthly at at the patriarchate voted down Sotirios ask to for permission to use multiple spoons. Therefore he had no right or any authority to change anything. Archbishop Sotirios was permitted by the Patriarchal Synod because it was state imposed restrictions in a handful of provinces, which his documentation to them showed. So he was following the direction of the Synod. Sotirios is a lot of things but no one can say he’s not obedient to the Patriarch, the sole person that determines if he stays or not. Clearly you didn’t read the Synod minutes from that meeting or you’d know he was in compliance.
DeleteIt’s Archbishop Elpidophoros who broke the Synod requirements and still continues to since it’s not state imposed restrictions and never was. It’s no secret Elpidophoros is one of the Patriarch’s favourite spiritual children which is why he gets away with so much with zero consequences.
And none of this changes the fact that a tong, a spoon or spoons are all INNOVATIONS. And neither is holier than the other.
And if you want to talk about the synod and spoons, when people first started using spoons it wasn’t approved by the Synod, it slowly happened starting with babies and then spread and was eventually used for all ages. Read Canon 101 about what it says regarding the use of utensils for holy communion. Hint: it’s heresy
New age? What’s “new age” are the innovations for holy communion. What’s wrong with the way Christ communed? Why do only clergy get to commune like Christ did? That’s an actual tradition to commune like Christ did. Not a golden spoon or tong. Since when does the church make concessions for impatience and laziness? Delete2:24 – It’s about the disposition of your heart. Not about if it’s a tong, spoon, or multiple spoons. This obsession about how Holy Communion is dispensed is from the evil one. People lose focus on their repentance and if they’re prepared to commune by distractions about metal. God created everything so this idea that a spoon is more superior than a tong or multiple spoons is Pharisaic. Christ communed without using any of them, like how our clergy do.
DeleteIn ONE single Divine Liturgy Holy Communion is dispensed in TWO different ways; how Christ communed and men’s innovation for expediency and convenience. Read that again. So how can anyone say anything knowing there are different methods during the same Divine Liturgy? The Body and Blood of Christ doesn’t change because of how it’s dispensed; a piece of metal is not that powerful.
The Church has serious issues it needs to deal with, this is not one of them. I would be more concerned why isn’t every single church, including the Archdiocese, not initiating alms giving for their communities for Christmas? Why is Prophet Elias going out in huge groups to feed and clothe the poor while it’s cold and snowing but other churches are doing nothing; not even a non-parishable food drive. If people want to be like Christ, it’s not by fighting over metal, it’s by imitating Him.
