If Archbishop Sotirios brags in writing that the Archdiocese owns assets worth $140 million and supposedly has millions in the bank, why hasn't he purchased the 4 Greek Community of Toronto churches then? They offered to sell them to the Archdiocese for fair market value. Why does the Archdiocese need to quietly own a mansion in the most expensive part of Toronto, a high-end housing complex in the most elite part of Greece, Glyfada, and own a yacht at the most expensive yacht club in Greece in Glyfada, instead of churches?
Is it because the Lavender Mafia (gay mafia) use these perks for their personal use, especially in Greece? Is this why a known pedo and sex abuser has lasted for almost 50 years as Archbishop of Canada?
The faithful need to understand that the most powerful hierarchs, who “coincidentally” are part of the Lavender Mafia, in the world are tripping over each other trying to secure the throne in Canada for either themselves or one of their bishops. Why?
Because Canada is the wealthiest diocese in the world! No other country, not even America or the Patriarchate owns $140 million worth of assets plus millions in the bank.
The Patriarchate is in the red not only because they can't manage the money diocese like ours gives them along with the Greek Government every single year, but because Metropolitans who work there have been caught fudging the books and stealing from the Mother Church, the Center of Orthodoxy, from their own place of employment. Holy people do not live and work at the Patriarchate, imitators of Judas do.
There have been so many names put forward to Patriarch Bartholomew for the next Archbishop of Canada, even more names than when America was going to get a new Archbishop. It's not because they want to lead the most conservative faithful diocese in the world. Not a chance. It's because of the money, the assets, the perks, the power and prestige.
Patriarch Bartholomew has 2 choices:
1. Correct the mistakes of his predecessor by replacing Sotirios with someone who isn't a pedophile and who is actually a spiritual person.
2. Continue his predecessors mistakes by putting in another Lavender Mafia leader who will most likely bankrupt our church because they're accustomed to yachts, villas, and bordelos and have never touched so much money in their lives and aren't disciplined. Who will put spirituality on the back burner AGAIN while more people continue to leave our churches to go to other Orthodox Jurisdictions across Canada who actually live the faith.
The choice is his. Let's see if the Patriarch fixes a wrong or if he will have to explain to His Creator why he put more faithful at harms way for money. Only God knows what he’ll do.
Does the replacement really need to be a celibate? Why not use married clergy. The canons are just a suggestion anyway......

So it doesn't matter if they're married. It matters if they're spiritually healthy, mentally stable, and able to physically restrain themselves. Sotirios is non of those things. I bet if Sotirios took a psych assessment they'd diagnose him with something like narcisistic-antisocietal behaviour. And the same can be said about some of our priests and bishop iakovos who is thankfully no longer on the archdiocese payroll.
I doubt you have access to their HR files, which makes me doubt most of what you just said.

I appreciated the person who responded to me saying the replacement needs to be mentally stable and spiritually healthy. It does us no good if we have 5 candidates but none are qualified. My initial comment is a solution to this to widen the candidate list. Just like any employer would do if they couldn't find someone to hire.
DeleteMy issue was, he said he didn't have time to write down the priests HR files, which I don't think he has access to. If he has proof of what he says, all he needs to do is go to the authorities. Otherwise, it's just rumors. Speaking anonymously is not an excuse to slander people or swear at comments you disagree with, and there is nothing cryptic or threatening in my comments. If he has evidence of the things he says, and he doesn't go to the authorities, then he is protecting the people he is accusing. So which is it? Baseless rumors or does he have evidence. If it's evidence, then it's place is with the authorities. If it's unsubstantiated, then I think my response and simple advice was appropriate and you don't need to read anything else into it other than, be careful about repeating those kinds of rumors if you don't have evidence. It's one thing if you are a lawyer or real estate agent and can search public financial records or property ownership, another to ruin a person's reputation, especially anonymously in a casual conversation.

ReplyDeleteA recording has been circulating from the Archdiocesan Council for some time with the finance Archon and Sotirios saying $900K is sent to the Phanar for general dues and $900K for Phanar staff and building maintenance (annually).
But when you look at the Revenue Canada filings it says a very different story. Indicating a very small fraction of the money they said at the archdiocesan council is sent to the Phanar.
And Patriarch Bartholomew said himself that while America supports the Phanar it's actually Canada that sustains it more than anyone else. That was said when America was giving only $1 million (public record) a year for over 500 churches, and only since last year under Elpidophoros it now gives $2M (public record). Still nothing compared to Canada giving $1.8 Million with a fraction of the churches America has. And where is Australia in all of this? Where is the UK too? Arch Makarios of Australia bought himself a $10M penthouse to live in when he arrived with parishioners money and he’s not even giving $1 million to the Phanar? The UK Arch also talks a big game too but also gives shit considering their size.
So my question is how is all that money going to the Phanar from Canada since it's not on the books? And more importantly, why the fuck are we paying for the degenerate staff there especially the metropolitans who steal from the Phanar and do shit all day except sexually harass and abuse the young staff at the Phanar? ReplyDeleteAnd yes, news flash we have predators in our church who are celibates like Sotirios (which is not remotely the same as a priest-monk) and married priests like Fr Ted. If you’d like to watch videos of him jerking off or taking nude selfie pics you can call the Archdiocese to see if they’ll show them to you since the chatty clergy in there have shown them to other clergy and laypeople they’re close with or you can call Ted and ask him to send you ones directly. Will Sotirios ever face consequences for his predatory behaviour? I’d venture to say never, he’s a genius. Will priests like Fr Ted ever face consequences, I’d venture to say yes, because he was stupid enough to create a digital trail while Sotirios continues to pretend he doesn’t know how to send a simple text message.

Just look what happened to bishop Iakovos. Another arrogant ass and a predator who is far from a genius. And it’s been a house of cards for him. Not only did Sotirios push him in a corner to get him out of Canada but then Iakovos played right into his strategy and was stupid enough to resign without first securing another posting to go to. And Sotirios blocked Iakovos with the hierarchs so no one will take him as their auxiliary Bishop. The Patriarch won’t force a problematic novice Bishop on someone either. So now Iakovos has no where to go, he’s off the Archdiocese payroll for over a month now, and his only option is to go back home to Crete but again who’s going to pay him? When you become a bishop the Greek government stops paying oversees clergy. He was also stupid enough to tell off Merkel and hung up on her after screaming at her that her and Sotirios can go and fuck themselves (in Greek) and that was his largest financial supporter. So the only person Iakovos has left is Metropolitan Kyrillos of Rhodes (lavender mafia just like him) but he doesn’t have enough money for another auxiliary bishop and there’s a number of people from Canada there who in 5 minutes he will become a pariah. He’s so desperate he is trying to stay in Canada until the end of the year even though he resigned last month. Like I said, a house of cards. And his close buddy Fr Ted is not far behind him.

DeleteOnce Bishop Iakovos became a bishop he was no longer a priest on loan under a Metropolis in Greece. He became a bishop under the Archdiocese of Canada (well he was, until he blew up his life). You can't belong to two churches.
And the general argument given by the Greek government to pay priests and not bishops abroad is it's not equitable for a bishop to receive taxpayer money while in a wealthy position. Archbishops on average make $250,000 why would they need say $1,100 euro a month?
If they've made an exception for Bishop Iakovos I don't know what that would possibly be for. Regardless he can't live off of what $1100 euro a month even if they were.
The Greek government pays for the bishops living in Greece under the Church of Greece because they gave 98% of their land to the government and in return the government pays all CoG salaries, even deacons but not monatics unless they're a priest too.

DeleteI am not trying to dictate answers. I believe in free speech. However, there can be a fine line between free speech and slander. If my advice is unwanted, no problems. I merely cautioned the person, because in the end of the day, no one is really anonymous because any ISP can track anyone down, if the authorities required it. I have nothing to worry about, because I haven't said anything that would be inappropriate. I like to behave the same way, regardless of whether or not I am posting anonymously.
ReplyDeleteNow, if this behavior you mentioned is true, then the victims need to go to the authorities and speak out. This behavior is unacceptable and criminal under all circumstances. The laws have changed allowing people to bring charges even later than before. If it's true, the many voices need to speak together, to the authorities. If you know any victims, you should encourage them to do so. If you don't, then I heard it from someone anonymous who heard it from someone anonymous doesn't count.
I also believe that a person is innocent until proven guilty. Rumors and social media don't get to dictate guilt or innocence, the laws do. So if it is true, victims can't be heard and get justice if they don't speak out. Otherwise, true or not, they are just rumors.
Now the original post was talking about what is the Patriarchate to do? If they monitor this site as some have suggested, I would prefer we talk about offering up some ideas. If my idea doesn't work, offer up some better ones. Let's bring the converstion up instead of down, because you never know where a seed might take root in fertile soil.
Tell us something we don’t already know about Arch Sotirios and his puppet Fr Ted. If only you knew about the gong show going on at Prophet Elias. Ted’s trying to cancel Sunday School, like what he did at Sts C&H, he’s already cancelled weekly Bible Study and told them they can watch videos on YouTube instead. There’s been no youth events either. He told the interim parish council “I’m not here to make friends” as if they want to be friends with a predator. He barks every Sunday at the parishioners about their attendance and not being there at 8:30 am. The church is continuing to empty out. The Parish Council called a meeting and met in person with Sotirios about the issues at the church with Fr Ted. My personal favourite is that he goes around so arrogantly speaking in the 3rd person saying: Fr Ted’s here as Mr. Fix it. Cancelling programming is not fixing the church. I also love that he thinks the church is his own personal storage place. He brought his large dojo fighting mats and stuff instead of putting them in his own home. He’s waiting until he cancels Sunday school so he can take a classroom and turn it into his fighting room like he did at St C&H. He’s never there past the early afternoon and comes in late in the mornings. And they’re paying him $85K for what exactly? He still pretends he doesn’t take tips except at a funeral the other week he was spotted taking the $300 from the funeral home again which he says he never takes. His Presvytera and her sister sit in the pews on Sundays giving people dirty looks. Parish council members have had enough and a number of them who were the most active for many years have taken a back row seat. Calls to the Archdiocese complaining about Ted has still not subsided. And Sotirios still hasn’t gotten his $40K from PE that Ted told him would be easy to get if he gave him PE. And the out of commission candle factory that Sotirios wants Ted to run illegally without fire permits still isn’t up and running. I’d say all in all this is another successful transfer from Sotirios.

ReplyDeleteAnd just because a victim doesn’t come forward to you or the police doesn’t mean they’re rumors. It’s not uncommon for victims to tell someone/some people even if they choose not to go to the police. More victims than not don’t report sexual harassment, abuse, etc., and for many reasons that you don’t seem to understand. Also, it’s not your place to tell any victim that they should go to the authorities. And if Fr Ted thinks what is written is legally slander I suggest he call a lawyer but he won’t because he knows exactly what he’s done. And he also knows which hierarchs (plural), clergy (plural), and faithful (plural) know too. If only Fr Ted sending a naked photo of himself in his Koumaro’s hot tub in the States (he’s a Nouno to one of the kids at that home where he took it) was the only thing he did. If only him sending a video of himself jerking off on a bed while saying a females name that isn't his spouses was the only thing he did. The list goes on and on. Like I said, Ted should call a lawyer if he thinks this is “slander” but again, he won’t.
Sotirios isn't the only sick clergy we have in Canada, and when the father is sick some of the children will be sick too. Thankfully next year we’ll have a new Archbishop and the clean-up can finally begin.

ReplyDeleteΑντίποδα είμαι ο Κανένας και ανόητος είσαι εσύ που κάθεσαι εσύ και οι "φίλοι"σου και οι 5-6 αναγνώστες σου και ασχολείστε με τρίχες και βλακείες και θέματα που δεν σας ενδιαφέρουν καθόλου. Το παπαδαριό πάντα καλοπερνούσε και με όλα τα δικαιώματα, ακόμα και επί τουρκοκρατίας και εσείς ζορίζεστε για τα ακριβά άμφιά του και τα πανάκριβα σπίτια του, ίσως επειδή η κλίκα σας ζει ακόμη στο ενοίκιο, τι να πω ο άνθρωπος. Πάντως τα σωβρακάκια μας δεν τα κατεβάζουμε για κανέναν, ούτε χέρια φιλάμε, όπως δεν προσευχόμαστε στα γόνατα σαν μερικούς μερικούς.
Oh I'm definitely interested in what's being written. So speak for yourself 1:27 am. I'd like to know what Fr. Ted was doing at our Archdiocese in the middle of the night trying to conceal his identity and carrying a duffle bag. I mean doesn't everyone go to their company headquarters in the middle of the night on the weekends dressed like that? Don't you? Isn’t that how everyone spends their weekends?
ReplyDeleteIf some people believe in everything has been said and written in this blog will be "fool" , Some can be true but other can be only exaggerations or people may have the wrong information through "gossiping"
ReplyDeleteI can see hear that some people get irritated with other peoples opinion and everyone thinks to know everything.

But we have to remember : everything that irritates us about others, can lead us to an understanding of ourselves.
6:28 and some people know first hand from Fr. Ted since he’s chatty Cathy, or have seen the messages, photos, videos etc. or have been on the receiving end of something and all 3 scenarios can confirm one or more “events” that are being said here.
