Μια άποψη αναγνώστη για την διαδοχή του αρχιεπίσκοπου Σωτήρη, με την οποία ισχυρίζεται ότι "Αυτός δεν φεύγει με τίποτα".!!! Λέτε κάτι να ξέρει ή μπουρδολογεί;.

Συνήθως ασχολούνται οι παπάδες και κάποιοι θρησκευόμενοι. Τωρα ποιός θα γίνει Αρχιεπίσκοπος στον Καναδά είναι θέμα του Πατριάρχη , όπου σαν σουλτάνος εξουσιάζει. τα πάντα. Οι άλλοι Δεσποτάδες δίπλα του συμφωνούν.
ReplyDeleteΕχω ακούσει από παπάδες να λένε για κάποιους που ενδιαφέρονται. Γιατί τόση μανία για το θρόνο του Καναδά? Είναι το πάθος για την εξουσία και όχι η δήθεν δικαιολογία τους ,ότι θέλουν να προσφέρουν στην Εκκλησία.
Βλέπεις Αρχιμανδρίτες στήν Ελλάδα αλλά και αλλού, πού μόλις έγιναν δεσποτάδες έγιναν άλλοι άνθρωποι,!! Εδώ για παράδειγμα, ήταν ο Αθηναγόρας . Εφυγε από τον Καναδά και πήγε στην Αμερική για να τον κάνουν δεσπότη

Τα άλλα περί πνευματικότητας είναι λογια υποκρισίας Ο Σωτήριος ,όταν ήμουν μέλος ενός συμβουλίου μιάς εκκλησίας, έλεγε συνέχεια οτι οι παπάδες του είναι άχρηστοι .και κουτσομπόληδες. Ασε που μερικοί παπάδες παίζανε διπλό παιχνίδι . Αντε τώρα να βρείς άκρη!!
The only person that would care about this nothing story is Nikonaass. Only because he wants him out. But otherwise no one cares. Why don't you worry yourselves more about what goes on at st Johns every Sunday. Surely someone of you guys must be embarrassed or ashamed.

The problems in North America point to the former Archbishop of North and South America, Iakovos. He's the one who tried to create a new church and break off from our Mother Church which is quite egotistical to do given our ancient faith links back directly to the Apostles (Bartholomew is only #230). It was Iakovos who forced the Patriarch to make bishops who were only celibate priests (an innovation) and not actual monks who were trained under holy Gerondes in monasteries. Iakovos is the reason we have Sotirios!
People in America like Iakovos because he schmoozed with the politicians, not recognizing the damage he was doing. It's hard to take out a Metropolitan or Archbishop without concrete evidence. Sotirios has made it very public and clear he will retire once he reaches a milestone jubilee, he said it public so it would get back to the Patriarch, which it did. So unless someone comes forward with serious evidence he won't step down until his 50th jubilee this December.
The reason we have Metropolises in North America is also because of Iakovos. That was the only way for the Patriarch to manage the powerful and popular Iakovos who wanted to break off from the Mother Church. At the time it was a smart strategic move but Bartholomew needs to undo what he did before he dies or steps down for health reasons. He can do that now under Elpidophoros because he's ideologically a supporter of the Mother Church, despite some of his liberal tendencies. And whoever Bartholomew will put in Canada will also be a person aligned with our ancient faith and supports the Mother Church.
You do realize some of the most famous Saints in the Church were hierarchs. Just look at St Chrysostom, St Gregory, St Basil, St Nektarios etc. This idea that all hierarchs are shit and corrupt and all the same is an extremist view. Yes, lots of them are terrible, but not all of them.
And yes all of the celibate hierarchs in North America are some of the worst ones, and that's why the church canons say no one should be made a bishop who is not a monk. I would go one step further and say they need to be megalo schema monks (highest ranking on a monastic) first, which most hierarchs are not, including our Patriarch and Elpidophoros who are both monks.

DeleteArch Sotirios doesn't decide when he “retires” and “steps down” the Patriarch does. The only rank in the Orthodox Church that can stay until they die is the Patriarch. Unless they themselves want to step down. The same does not apply to Archbishops or Metropolitans. All you have to do is look at America to see they are removed whenever the Patriarch wants them to.
ReplyDeleteArch Sotirios knows his time is coming to an end which is why he announced Tuesday at the Clergy Synaxis that this will be the year of priest transfers (A.K.A. payback time before he's asked to retire).
This December is the big jubilee for Arch Sotirios, 50 years since he was ordained. There will be a new Arch after that unless something goes very wrong and very public before then, which I doubt because he's smart.
While there are many who are jokeying for the throne of Canada from many parts of the world, the Patriarch alone decides who's name goes before the Holy Eparchial Synod.
Given how soon the change of guards will happen, I wouldn't be surprised if the next Arch of Canada has already had “the meeting” with the Patriarch. Patriarchs don't put someone's name for a vote without at least speaking to the person.
What's a going on at a saint john’s churches on Sundays? I hear they make a good kafe.

Delete1:55 am. That’s on Sotirios. The Archbishop is the only one in the country who has the sole authority to transfer priests. So if you have a problem with St. John’s priest take it up with the Archbishop. It’s no secret that GCT Prez Betty has been begging Sotirios since last year for Fr Theo from Phophet Elias to go to St. John’s.

It does not take a brain surgeon to figure out that that change is desperately needed. I have publicly stated this numerous times BUT you "men of the cloth" who are order takers like to spread your bosses bullshit of a cabal that does not exist .
