Dear families,

The Ellinomathia Examination Centre of the Greek Community of Toronto wishes to inform all interested participants that registrations for the Ellinomathia exams will be taking place from February 3, 2014 until March 21, 2013. Registrations cannot be accepted after March 21, 2014

The examinations will take place on May 20, 2014 and May 21, 2014 at the Polymenakion Cultural Centre (30 Thorncliffe Park Dr.).

There are six different levels of certification:
Α1 (elementary knowledge for children, ages 8-12), Α1 (elementary knowledge for teenagers and adults), Α2 (basic knowledge), Β1 (average knowledge), Β2 (good knowledge), C1 (very good knowledge) and C2 (excellent knowledge).

In the context of our continuous efforts to promote Greek Orthodox Paideia, the Greek Community of Toronto decided for this year's exams to cover a major portion of the registration fees for our Grade 6 students. Specifically, all GCT grade 6 students are able to participate in this year's exams with the symbolic amount of $ 20.00.

Ellinomathia Lessons: The Greek Community of Toronto offers Ellinomathia Test preparation courses. The first class will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2014.

Louis Georgareas Academic Award for Excellence: Candidates, who have passed the Ellinomathia exam, have the opportunity to apply for the aforementioned scholarship granted by the GCT in collaboration with the family of Mrs. Fouli Georgareas-Tsimikalis and their privately owned Toronto Prep School.
