Εφέτος η τελετή απονομής πτυχίων της Πατριαρχικής
Ορθόδοξης Θεολογικής Ακαδημίας Τορόντο (PTOTA), έγινε την Παρασκευή 6
Μαΐου.
Στο δείπνο παρεκάθησαν περισσότερα από τετρακόσια εξήντα (460) άτομα, στο πολιτιστικό κέντρο της Ι. Αρχιεπισκοπής- Metropolitan Centre. Τελετάρχης ήταν ο ιατρός κ. Νικόλαος Βοζόρης, Άρχοντας του Οικουμενικού Πατριαρχείου. Το δείπνο οργάνωσαν άριστα, η πρόεδρος της Κοινότητας Αγ. Νικολάου και του Metropolitan Centre κα Αναστασία Σωτηροπούλου και οι εκλεκτοί συνεργάτες της. Συγχαρητήρια και ευχαριστίες σε όλους.

Ο Διευθυντής της Ακαδημίας επίσκοπος Αθηναγόρας,
καλωσόρισε τους καλεσμένους. Μεταξύ των επισήμων, οι οποίοι και ομίλησαν ήσαν,
ο Γενικός Πρόξενος της Ελλάδας στο Τορόντο κ. Βίκτωρ Μαλιγκούδης, ο Άρχων κ.
Σπύρος Βολονάκης, Διευθυντής Ελληνορθόδοξης Παιδείας Ι. Αρχιεπισκοπής Καναδά, η
κα Ζωή Βερούτη, Πρόεδρος του Αρχιεπισκοπικού Συμβουλίου Φιλοπτώχου Αδελφότητας
Καναδά, ο Άρχων κ. Γρηγόριος Καράκουλας, Πρόεδρος της Θεολογικής Ακαδημίας, και
ο Αιδ. Πρωτοπρ. Παναγιώτης Αυγερόπουλος, Πρόεδρος Συνδέσμου Ιερέων. Στην τελετή
παρέστη και η Πρόεδρος της Ελληνικής Κοινότητας Τορόντο κα Μπέτυ Σκουτάκη.
Κατόπιν, μίλησε ο αριστεύσας απόφοιτος της Ακαδημίας Ανδρέας Παντέας ελληνικά και αγγλικά. Αναφέρθηκε στα πολύτιμα θεολογικά εφόδια που έλαβε από την Ακαδημία τα τέσσερα χρόνια της φοίτησης του και στην σπουδαιότητα της καθημερινής λειτουργικής ζωής των φοιτητών. Τέλος ευχαρίστησε τους συμφοιτητές του, τον διευθυντή και τους καθηγητές της Ακαδημίας και τον Αρχιεπίσκοπο Καναδά κ. Σωτήριο στον οποίο όπως τόνισε, οφείλεται όλως ιδιαιτέρως η μεγάλη ευλογία να φοιτήσει στην Θεολογική Ακαδημία Τορόντο. Καταχειροκροτήθηκε από όλους τους συνδαιτυμόνες.
Κατά τη διάρκεια του δείπνου υπήρξε άριστο μουσικό
διάλειμμα υπό τη διεύθυνση του αποφοίτου Ανδρέα Παντέα. Έψαλλαν και τραγούδησαν
οι φοιτητές και οι ιερείς.
Τα πτυχία στους αποφοίτους, με εισήγηση του Σεβασμ. Αρχιεπισκόπου κ. Σωτηρίου, επέδωσαν, ο Γεν. Πρόξενος κ. Βίκτωρ Μαλιγκούδης στον κ. Mikhel (Innocent) Chang, ο Διευθυντής Επίσκοπος Αθηναγόρας στον π. Milan Radulovic για τον γιό του Milojko R. και ο Αρχιεπ. Σωτήριος στον κ. Ανδρέα Παντέα. Στους αποφοίτους έδωσαν εικόνες του Αγ. Ιωάννου του Θεολόγου και Ευαγγελιστού, προστάτου της Ακαδημίας, ο Επίσκοπος Ιάκωβος, η Πρόεδρος του Αρχιεπισκοπικού Συμβουλίου Φιλοπτώχου Καναδά κα Ζωή Βερούτη και η Πρόεδρος της ΕΚΤ κα Μπέτυ Σκουτάκη.
Τελευταίος και κύριος ομιλητής ήταν ο Αρχιεπίσκοπος κ.
Σωτήριος, ο οποίος έδωκε πατρικές νουθεσίες με θέμα «Από πού ήλθατε και που
πηγαίνετε». Ενθάρρυνε τους αποφοίτους να προχωρήσουν εμπρός, εμπιστευόμενοι τον
Χριστό και τέλος τους ευχήθηκε σαν Επίσκοπος και πνευματικός τους πατέρας, καλό
δρόμο και καλή αντάμωση και συνεργασία στις Κοινότητες που θα αναλάβουν να
ποιμάνουν.
Η όλη τελετή έκλεισε με ύμνους, προσευχή και το
πολυχρόνιο του Παναγιωτάτου Οικουμενικού Πατριάρχη κ.κ. Βαρθολομαίου, ο οποίος
αναγνωρίζοντας τα θαυμάσιο έργο το οποίο έχει κάμει η Θεολογική μας Ακαδημία
στα πρώτα είκοσι (20) χρόνια λειτουργίας της, την ονόμασε Πατριαρχική Ορθόδοξη
Θεολογική Ακαδημία Τορόντο.
Εφέτος συμπληρώθηκαν είκοσι τέσσερα χρόνια λειτουργίας
της Ακαδημίας κατά τα οποία απεφοίτησαν πενήντα έξι (56) φοιτητές εκ των οποίων
χειροτονήθηκαν τριάντα τέσσερεις (34). Συνεπώς, περίπου το ένα τρίτο (1/3) των
ιερέων της Αρχιεπισκοπής Καναδά είναι απόφοιτοι της Θεολογικής μας Ακαδημίας. Αυτός ο απολογισμός ομιλεί πολύ δυνατά για το έργο και τη
δράση της Θεολογικής μας Ακαδημίας.

Δεν βλέπω τη σκοπημότητα της καταγέλαστης, ή μάλλον ντροπιαστικής αυτής δημοσίευσης κ. αντίποδα. Εκτός και αν έγινε επί σκοπού. Πάω να πιστέψω ότι μιλάμε πλέον για Κενότητα που τη λες κι’ εσύ, ή για Σύλλογο που λέει ο υφυπουργός Απόδημου. Διότι όταν την προεδρόμας τη βάζουν μετά τη φιλοπτωχήνα Βερούτση, να μοιράζουν εικονίτσες σε απόφοιτους θεολόγους, καταλαβαίνεις τον ξεπεσμό. Μήπως για αυτό ετοιμάζονται να την ξαποστείλουν φέρνοντας κάποιον κωλιτό του Καραντόνη;
ReplyDeleteOdd that you post at the very top a photo of Gerontissa Thekla in regards to the graduation. You know she has a strained relationship with Arch. Sotirios because of how poorly he treats her and the sisters. And you can add Bish. Iakovos to that list after he bullied her over the phone over spoons. I’m surprised how they haven’t left for America yet like the monks did with Geronta Iosif. Why these hierarchs take pleasure in bullying our nuns is beyond me. This is what happens when abusers are put in positions of power in the church. Thankfully Bish. Athenagoras doesn’t treat the sisters like them.

And let's stop pretending whatever he sends to clergy is not at the direction of Sotirios, who doesn't want to put his own name on it so has his bishops do it. And you can't compare letters or.internal memos to clergy or councils to bullying and threatening nuns. At the monastery in Quebec bishop Iakovos tried to force the nuns to get the covid vaccinations and he brought 2 doctors with him and when they wouldn't he made them sit through a presentation on the covid vaccine by those doctors. Under what Authority? It doesn't matter where you stand on vaccines, a bishop is not a doctor and has no jurisdiction over people’s medical decisions. They're not even employed by the Archdiocese and even if they were its not up to him to mandate it or to get them vaccinated, that's between them and their doctors. Yet there's a number of priests in Quebec still not vaccinated and he hasn't showed up to their churches with doctors to vaccinate them, why not? Because they’d probably tell him where to go or drop kick him. Sotirios has turned the church into a circus, and Iakovos is just one of his clowns.
Delete5pm It’s terrible what Archbishop Sotirios and Bishop Iakovos are doing to our nuns. I went there and some of the sisters were crying to us. Because Le Troupeau Benit (the cheese/gift shop on the property they run) is tied to the Archdiocese on paper and there were financial irregularities and they’re also being investigated by the CRA as part of the Archdiocese and National Philoptochos search. Bishop Iakovos goes there and pressures them to give him money “for the church” so of course their books don’t add up because they’re not going to fudge their books like others do.
DeleteAnd so they’re tied up in this CRA investigation. They need to find a way to get Bishop Iakovos out of there to protect the monastery and the sisters. It’s terrible what’s transpired and they don’t have anyone in Canada to go to who can help them who’s in a position of authority. Archbishop Sotirios has been trying for many years to build another mens monastery after Geronda Iosif and the brothers left in the middle of the night because of his abuse, and then he wonders why no monks will say yes to him. It’s a nightmare what’s happening here. At least in America I’ve been told things are changing for the better for the monasteries.
Ya at the last Archdiocesan council meeting that Arch Sotirios held the Quebec monastery was also announced that it’s under investigation by the CRA. There was no explanation given why that one was and not the monastery in Ontario. and Bishop Iakovos who is “responsible” for Quebec did not say a single word. If that’s not leadership, I don’t know what is?

DeleteDid you guys hear that priests keep getting denied vacation because there are no priests to cover them but our bishops are booking minimum 6-week vacations to Greece starting in a few weeks? I just want to know which Philoptochos Bish Iakovos is going to shake down to pay for his vacation since he cleaned out his church’s last year for Greece? I wonder how many months he’ll be gone for so he can go around telling people in Greece he’ll be the next Arch of Canada. LMFAO!!!! Who’s gonna tell him that the Patriarchate is already prepping the next Arch of Canada, as per the Synod meeting last week, it was confirmed it will most definitely not be anyone from Canada. Life is good!!!!! LOL!!

But because the bishops don’t do anything they get to go to Greece since nothing changes if they’re here or there. ThAt makes lots of sense. Sotirios logic.

Ήρθε η ώρα να βάλουν στην προεδρ΄λια κάσποιον άγνωσο σε μένα Βαβήτσα και μετά να μεταφέρουν αργότερα την εξουσία στον αντιπρόεδρο που είναι και ο κωλιτικότερος του Σωτηρίου. Όταν όμως το έμαθε η προεδρίνα έγινε μπαρούτη για την πουστιά τους αυτή και τάβαλε με όλους. Το χειρότερο είναι ότι η Σωτηρία λέει ότι είναι μαζί της ενώ είναι πίσω από όλη τη βρωμιά. Το αναλυτικό πρόγραμμα του συνεδρίου θα το βρεις στον ηλεκτρονικό σύνδεσμο που παραθέτω κατωτέρω. Στην ένατη σελίδα του κειμένου αναφέρονται οι χορηγοί του συνεδρίου και στην όγδοη θέση της λίστας αναγράφεται η Ιερά Αρχιεπισκοπή Καναδά. Καταλαβαίνεις λοιπόν ότι δεν αρκεί στο φανάρι να λαμβάνει την ετήσια λογία από το υποκατάστημα των κοινοτήτων του Καναδά, αλλά θέλει και ο φερόμενος Αρχιεπίσκοπος του Τορόντο να στέλνει με το πρόσχημα της χορηγίας του συνεδρίου περισσότερα χρήματα, από αυτά που εισπράττει από τους δίσκους και τις ετήσιες συνδρομές της ΕΚΤ που οι φωστήρες της ομογένειας φρόντισαν να την δεσμεύσουν με τους ομοιόμορφους κανονισμούς. Άγνωστο παραμένει πόσα χρήματα θα δηλώσει στο Καναδικό κράτος ότι έστειλε για χορηγία και πόσα πραγματικά θα φτάσουν στον προορισμό τους. 3 pm I don’t see a problem with Canada or other countries sponsoring an event/conference for the Patriarch. Where the problem lies is the lack of transparency of Canada’s financials as to how much money is going to the patriarchate. How much is going to pay for the building. How much is going to pay for staff.
DeleteAt the last archdiocesean council meeting Sotirios hosted they indicated in two groups the lump sump and the other sum for staffing/building. The amount is significant and has increased significantly in the last 3 years. That’s a red flag.

The Church of Australia is much bigger than Canada but barely gives a fraction of the money Canada and America do and gives nothing for the English office. Why is that? You’d think given the homo sex video of Makarios that has surpassed that the Patriarchate would make him give more money, but no no, the homo bourdo sticks together (pun intended) and protects each other from the hetero hierarchs who are trying to clean out the church. 5:19 well now we know why Archbishop Sotirios quietly sold the kids camp in Ontario during the pandemic when churches were closed and not bringing in money. You don’t secretly sell the kids camp land in the biggest province in Canada so you can send all that money to the patriarchate when no other country is giving that much to begin with. The church in Canada is starving to pay for staff and the buildings in Turkey.
