unfortunately the only one that has any power or authority in the church is the archbishop, in this case Sotirios. he can hire and fire, and do whatever he wants and he answers to no one. at least to the lay people.Nothing will ever change unless he goes. nothing. the only options you all have is to 1. not give any money or donations when you go to church. you can donate to charity or to a poor family. its better anyway. 2. do not participate in the extra curricular of the church, councils, philoptochos, committees etc. 3. send letters to sotirios copying patriarchate about all the goings on. 4. publish articles in newspapers and blogs and other media about the goings on. other than that theres literally nothing you can do
Agreed. For the life of me I have no idea why anyone would give a dollar to an institution run like a dictatorship, with a side of children. I don’t know if we can even call it a church because that would require spirituality and there’s none of that coming from the Archdiocese. It’s not complicated people — stop giving money to Sotirios and his corrupt Archdiocese. Period. Only way to get rid of the pedo klepto and his band of monkeys.
ReplyDeleteSotirios is a dictator. Does whatever he wants, whenever he wants, including with your money. Anyone who gives money under his “leadership” is lining his pockets and that of his friends. Ask yourselves, what has Sotirios done with all the money raised for the theological academy? He doesn’t pay the “professors.” Hasn’t upgraded the living conditions for the students. He barely feeds them, to the point where donations for food were asked from people in the community (sound familiar? Like the old men’s monastery who picked up in the middle of the night and went to America because Sotirios was starving them). So where’s all the money for the school gone?
