Καλά είχαμε βολευτεί μερικοί μέχρι τώρα με το να παρακολουθούν τη Θ. Λειτουργία από την τηλεώραση, τώρα πρέπει να ξανααρχίσομε τον αγώνα του πήγενε έλα. Αλλά γιατί όμως αφού ο Σωτήριος πολλές φορές μας έλεγε στα κηρύγματά του ότι είναι το ίδιο πράμα, σαν να βρισκόμαστε στην εκκλησία, τι άλλαξε τώρα; Μπορείς εσύ ή κανένας άλλος να μα πει το γιατί; Διότι αυτούς που λένε ότι γίνονται όλα για τα χρήματα, εγώ δεν τους πιστεύω εκτός και αν πρέπει να ξεπέσω τόσο πολύ. Θα περιμένω μια απάντηση πάντως. Και κάτι ακόμα, γιατί δεν μας έδωσαν ούτε μια – δυο εβδομάδες, να προετοιμαστούμε;

ReplyDeleteAnother example of our church not adapting to the realities of its so called congregation. Forget about accommodating those who cannot physically attend. Bravo another bonehead move by Sotirios who we know single handedly made the decision. Will now be forced to watch the Liturgy from USA or Greece. Why is it he did not cancel his weekly broadcast?

ReplyDeleteLast weekend was the last time churches were allowed to livestream. So it’s actually this Sunday where we’ll see if Skoutakis and the GCT follows Sotirios issued directive or not.

Nikona, at the Clergy association Sotirios had bishop Iakovos speak about bringing the youth to church. But there were no steps outlined or any actual plan about what churches across Canada can do. It was just a talk.
DeleteThere are a number of people, including clergy, who believe Sotirios is purposely running the church into the ground so whoever replaces him will have a hard time and not be able to outshine him. What he doesn’t know is that his idea of himself is distorted and delusional and the only people that will be sad to see him go are those financially benefiting from his illegal actions.
All clergy are part of the clergy association. But not all priests were there. Most priests from Quebec didn’t bother showing up. And from Toronto Fr. Theo couldn’t go because of the hit-and-run that killed his mother-in-law. He has the highest viewed livestream in Canada from what Sotirios said recently which is why Sotirios begrudgingly calls him the most popular priest in Canada while also blaming him for other churches having low attendance. Couldn’t possibly be because the majority of his priests have no idea what they’re doing.

DeleteAnd the “sicko” is Sotirios and his Bish Iakovos and a number of priests who sexually harass, abuse and assault people in the church. From kids, altar boys, nuns, students, presvyteres, young men and women in the church, to even other priests.
You have no idea how many new priests Canada will need to replace the “sicko” priests (and bish) we have, especially in Toronto and Montreal. The complaints and
evidence are sitting in the Archdiocese but Sotirios won’t do anything about it because then he’d have to do something about himself too. So he just uses it to control his “sicko” priests. If that’s not leadership I don’t know what is.
How you can sit here and defend Sotirios is disturbing at best. You’re part of the problem.
