Charities in my opinion that don’t publish their audited statements, typically have something embarrassing to hide. 6:53 charities by law are public entities and are therefore required by law to disclose their charity return. I on the other hand am a private citizen and don't have the legal right to collect donations and give donation slips. My privacy is protected by law the archdiocese is not. Quite simple if you have nothing to hide why not disclose?

GCT owns and operates 4 churches, has accredited after- school Greek schools has the largest cultural department in Canada and a theatre production team that gives back to the public at large. They may not like Sotiri but they all are financially stable with income and revenue streams. Why is the GCT the only one that has these financial problems? I get it you dont like Sotiri fine. DeleteThe problem with our churches is that they cannot offer anything to the next generation. Look around besides Easter, Christmas and the churches name day they don’t bother coming. But for a few priest which you can count only on one hand. They are not reaching out to bring our kids to church. Enough with my paramithia every religion has the same problem. Solution not sure. Whereas you look at photos of St. George in Montreal where they're swearing in new parish councils and it's scary empty. There's such a huge difference between churches. I would think the one with the Bishop would have more people, no? St D’s seem to have a lot of people but they all seem really old or there for memorials.

Sotirios hostage situation games can only work for so long when a hierarch is sending letters for the persons apolyterio, if someone doesn’t want to be here they’ll either just leave until they get it or leave their rasso all together. Either way Sotirios loses another priest if he plays his musical chairs. An Archdiocese or Metropolis can also hire a priest as a Director or teach at a theological school etc and an apolyterio is not required, so they can wait it out and get paid too for work while doing random services here or there.

Delete6:45PM the requirement for teaching is that the professors have an actual Masters degree. Not whether they have their apolyterio transferred yet. People who aren’t priests can teach as well, as long as they have a Masters degree. That’s like at any college/university around the world. Apolyterio is just to perform liturgical services. Which is why when a Hierach is put on “argiri” they still maintain their title and responsibilities but are not allowed to perform liturgical services, they’re not on probation in the totality or their jobs, just the services.
